Introducing Ledo Pizza, our newest partner for our recycled pallet panels. With nearly 100 franchises and growing, we’re excited about our future growth and partnership with LEDOPizza.
About Ledo Pizza:
With its original opening in 1955, Ledo Pizza played a great part in the local University of Maryland community and has since then expanded its impact to encompass areas throughout the greater metropolitan area. From its first location in Adelphi, Maryland to the nearly 100 franchises today; the tradition of giving back to the community is still a prominent custom of the Ledo establishment. The families that shaped Ledo Pizza now pass their traditions to other families in different areas through their franchises.
These franchises maintain the original and unique standards that made Ledo Pizza legendary. Each week Ledo Pizza uses its resources through campaigns advocating for local:
• Schools
• Sports teams
• Clubs and other organizations to give back to the community.
Even though thousands of dollars are donated every year through fundraisers, Ledo Pizza takes their communities outreach a step further by overseeing and contributing to a variety of causes and programs. Some of the recognized programs supported by Ledo include:
• Act Local Program benefiting the Pediatrics Unit at Anne Arundel Medical Center.
• Hosting benefits for National Autism Awareness Month with Project Lifesaver.
• Relay For Life, providing additions to school playgrounds.
• Donating educational toys and games to Children’s Centers.
• Organizing MS Walk Fundraisers.
The presence of Ledo Pizza within the local community has played a huge role in developing and perpetuating the efforts of local organizations. Each Ledo Pizza is individually-owned and operated by a member of the particular community where the store is housed and located. This is part of the reason for the incredible local presence each store portrays.
Reconstruction of the Pizza Farm Playground at the National Zoo is one of the current projects that Ledo Pizza is funding and sponsoring. The National Zoo and Ledo Pizza joined forces on this project in order to build a fun Pizza Playground for the benefit of the children visiting the zoo.
Ledo Pizza is also continuing its support of Johns Hopkins Children’s Center by donating $30,000 a year for medical supplies and lending a helping hand to children in need of medical attention. Ledo Pizza is a prominent advocate for community involvement and has proven through numerous services and donations that it values its community members and customers as family. This love for community birthed the famous Ledo motto, “From Our Family to Yours.”
