Reclaimed (twice) Easy Install Beetle Kill Pine Panels

Over the past few years, the Mountain Pine Beetle has decimated millions of acres of Western Pine trees. As these trees stand dead in the forest they start to dry out, rot, crack, and split. Sustainable Lumber Company of Missoula, MT has had to adjust the pine wall panels and other products they manufacture around what the trees will yield. “Due to the constant decomposition of these dead trees, usable wood fiber is getting harder to salvage,” says Ryan Palma of Sustainable Lumber Co. “the sad thing is they’ve been left behind to rot or burn because of the high labor costs it takes to salvage such a small percentage of usablewood”.
Sustainable Lumber Co. has gotten very creative over the years in order to continue to manufacture its products out of this beautiful wood. The most recent product is their easy to install Beetle Kill Pine Prefabricated Wall Panels. “These new panels are produced from all the small pieces that are too small for our T&G wall paneling, but too beautiful to throw away. You could say they’ve been reclaimed twice!” says Palma
